An Excellent Book!!!

Having read other books about these cars individually it was great to have one single resource that covered both. I found the information to be accurate(or at least as accurate as the other books Ive gotten), as well as very simply written. Anyone can understand the language and terms used. I liked the fact that the book chronicles the road car development as well as the competition history and development of both marques. Details are everywhere. For anyone even remotely interested in rallying or either of these cars, this book is a 'must have'. The only drawback I found was that the pictures are black and white. I would have loved colour photos, hence my 4 star rating. My thanks to Huw Evans for his work and his effort in compiling what must have been a mountain of historic information as well as what must have been very sketchy info at times!! I enjoyed reading this book and would recommend its purchase to any red blooded motorsport enthusiast. Excellent!!!!

A good read, but not perfect

It is pretty clear that the author has a greater affinity for Subaru, as greater attention seems to be paid to that marque. The racing recaps are great, particularly to an American reader with limited access to historical WRC coverage, but the details on the production models are often slightly off, so if you're looking for a definitive guide to production WRX and Evo models, this is not it.

The writing is also good but not great- it really feels like two separate books about the WRX and Evo interleaved into one, there's not a lot of narrative here.

King Tut

This book is a very interesting story.I would recommend it for 3rd grade and above.The only thing I did not like about it was it did not have a lot of information on king tut.It mostly just had info on Egypt.Other than that I think it was a wonderful book with great vocabulary. The author really described things very well and made me feel like I was there.I loved the pictures with great detail . If you were doing a history report on king Tut or Egypt this book would come in handy.Thank you for reading my review and I hope you decide to read this book.

The Frost trilogy is one of those series you won’t want to put down. In fact, I got very annoyed when real life got in the way and I had to. But, I’m so glad I didn’t read this trilogy until it was complete.
Where do I begin to tell you how much I loved this series?
First of all, the characters. I loved Mia! She was the sort of woman I would have wanted as my best friend when I was younger. She made me smile and laugh; she also made me sad. I wanted her life to be better. Now Nick. He was a puzzle to begin with and the more I came to ‘know’ him, the more he puzzled me. But most of all, I really did want to know him. I wanted to know what made him tick. Why was he the man he was? I did eventually find out.
But this trilogy is about their journey to happiness, a journey which involved lots of road blocks and detours. A journey that kept me turning those pages as fast as I could. It even kept me awake at night.
But a book isn’t only two characters. There were many others who kept me entertained (an honorable mention has to be given to Hugo and Nate); some I loved and some I disliked. Is ‘hate’ too strong a word? I’m thinking ‘maybe not’.
I think, by this stage, it’s obvious that I LOVED the Frost Trilogy and now I’m looking forward to reading the next book written by Terri George, TORN.
I gave The Frost Trilogy 5 stars, but it’s really worth 15 stars because it contains 3 terrific books.

Great Series!

Get ready for the book hangover of all time because once you start reading this series you won’t be able to put it down until the very end. Packed full of hot, steamy sex and plenty of action to keep the story moving, I couldn’t wait to find out what would happen next.

Nick Frost knows what he wants and he isn’t afraid to go after it, no matter how much Mia resists.  Too bad his dark past keeps getting in the way of their happiness. Mia’s past isn’t all roses and unicorns either. When her secrets come out it threatens to destroy the budding love affair.

Like most young couples, there are plenty of trials to overcome and they found themselves in a mess more than once. There were a few times I wanted to jump in the pages and give Nick a good kick in the a** and other times I just wanted to kiss him myself!

The romance that began in Beguiled grew deeper throughout the series and I couldn’t help but fall in love with the characters. From Nick & Mia, to Aiden & Jen, even Hugo & Nat, I felt I knew the characters. I’m seriously hoping there’s a spin off series in the works!

Positive action for Type 2

I would recommend this book. It is informative and being type 2 I know that you have to take your meds. Reading this book has given me a different aspect to eating and I have to lose weight and I will start to follow the 7 steps. I know diabetes can be reversed as my grandmother was insulin dependent and lost weight significantly and was rid of that nasty needle she had to use.

She provides diagnosis and treatment of language delays and disorders and specializes in social language skills. Sue has more than 25 years experience in the field and is the author of Language Lessons in the Classroom and co-author of Webs for Language. She has been on TV as an expert on social skills and has produced a DVD, Diamond Social Skills. Sue has conducted workshops for therapists and teachers and has spoken at numerous conferences. Her passion is pragmatic language and helping people gain success in communication. When Sue is not working, she enjoys reading, gardening, and doing yoga. She also loves spending time with her husband and son, whose encouragement, love, and humor keep her smiling.

A book of lists

This book is good for simple, basic, social skill guidance. Each social rule has 5 or 6 steps to go along with it. However, there is not a whole lot of "conversation" opportunities in the book. I think it would be best for the kids who have a really hard time with any social skills, not those who are higher level and needing to "think through" the why of social skills.

Very Educational

OK, maybe not in the academic sense, but there is a lot to be learned by Jonathan's experiences in his adventures of sharing his wife, then assisting others fulfill their fantasies of sharing their wives. Although I must admit that I was a bit disappointed that the first story was not carried farther, however, you will just have to read it and judge for yourself.

If you are like most males nowadays, and have fantasies of sharing your partner with another guy, and being there to watch (and maybe to participate) this book does present soem very good ideas as to how to begin to go about setting the stage to bring that fantasy to fruition

Wife Share Vol 1 - Great book, well written, a thrilling read.

What a great book! Finally erotic writing by someone that's obviously taken an English class or two. A great read that covers the topic most men (and maybe a few women) fantasize about but are afraid to discuss with the spouse. Don't know if the stories are 100% true, but they had me smiling and imagining the possibilities! Can't wait for Vol. 2!!

Very Good

This book does a very good job covering a largely misunderstood and caricatured branch of the Brit Army in WW1. Its expensive and covers 1915-18. Alot of small unit as well as big battle coverage. Time is spent on leaders, organization & tactics too. Few pictures. I'm glad I bought it. Its part of a 5(?) book series on the Brit Cav 1800-1918.

A stellar novel with a captivating voice

This is a stellar debut novel with a captivating voice by a talented writer. The main character, Wendy, is realistic and sympathetically portrayed, so much so that the book drew me in and transported me back in time to the end of eighth grade with all those up-and-down emotions, from joy to angst. The author holds nothing back in dealing with the serious problems affecting today's youth: anorexia, depression, divorce, alcoholism, and suicide, yet all are portrayed in a sensitive, caring manner, and the main character grows in wonderful and sometimes unexpected ways. Highly recommended for ages 13 and up!

Compelling Page-Turner With Heart

8 NOTES TO A NOBODY is a compelling page-turner with heart. I finished it within a few days because of the way the writing and characters drew me into the story.

Wendy is a likable protagonist and becomes very "real" to readers through her individual quirks and strong narrative voice. I loved spending time with her and could relate to her lack of interest in following the "cool" crowd. Her friendship with a long-time friend brought with it a certain nostalgia, but also the bittersweet feeling that all of us feel with the passage of time.

Toney's writing style is a wonderful combination of clever turn-of-phrase and unique imagery. Her metaphors truly painted a picture in my mind and often were humorous, as well. It suited the story, as the writing style paralleled the personality of the main character.

While 8 NOTES is a work of contemporary realistic YA, I enjoyed the elements of mystery within, which added a sense of intrigue to the storyline. I could not wait to find out who was giving Wendy the notes, and found myself engaging in speculation as to his/her identity. While I will avoid spoiling the ending, I thought that it was a fitting resolution. I also enjoyed the sprinkling of romance and look forward to the inevitable development of a certain relationship in the next book.

However, more than anything else, what I found to be especially important about the novel was its theme of self-image. So many teenage girls and young adults are insecure about their appearance. They need to know that they are beautiful in their own way and that the popular, "cool" image of how you should look should not be used as a measure for their own appearance. This is the book for any girl who has ever felt insecure about her looks, whether to a mild degree or taken to a more extreme level. When reading, I also found myself reflecting on the idea that a "cool" girl with the perfect image according to society may, deep down, be very insecure. She reaches for what society wishes her to be, yet loses herself in the process. As a result of that insecurity, she may react in a negative way to those who reject society's norms. I don't think I have ever seen that concept played out to this extent in a novel before, and believe that Toney has hit on a truth that many teens and even adults need to remember.

I look forward to the next volume in this series!

For sensitive teen and preteen girls--and which ones aren't?

A lovely, engaging, and well-written story about Wendy, a shy, sensitive middle-schooler who feels inadequate in so many ways, despite her kindheartedness and talents. She experiences strongly not only the many pangs that are hers alone--her absent father, her too-large nose, and the bully who has singled her out--but also, vicariously, the pangs of her friends and schoolmates who have their own sufferings and pining for acceptance.

But even with Wendy's shyness, she's a spunky girl who works hard to improve her situation, overcome her inner obstacles, and learn to accept those parts of herself that can't be changed. Only then is she able to reach out to others. Wendy is a highly likable, relatable character--not prissy, not perfect, but somebody who manages to gain some perspective on life's crosses and gains by them. I can truly see how early teens/preteens could benefit from reading this book, as it covers many realistic struggles that young people face today. Oh, and it's a fun read, too!
